Re: anyone tried miracle noodles
The noodles are a good 'legal' food but do make sure you count for the veg and/or cheese amounts in them.
I am fairly sure that the noodles made just from glucomann aka konjak are made from the same vegetable as jicama so should count towards your 2-3 cups of 'salad veg' on induction.
The noodles made part from glucomann and part from tofu should be counted as part of your veg count and your cheese count, as Dr Atkins included what he called 'soy cheese' but which we call tofu as being one of the allowed cheeses on induction.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I am glad to hear you have managed to get over the block that many of us have about moving out of the safe environment of induction into the scarey unexplored territory of OWL

Re: anyone tried miracle noodles
Are you guys talking about Shirataki noodles?
Shirataki Noodles (Konnyaku) from the Low Carb Megastore UK the home of Sugar Free and Lowcarb shopping
I love them with tomato, garlic, onion, courgette, and bacon sauce and topped with cheese - yum! Just ordered ten packets!!
You have to boil them for 10 mins prior to cooking to get rid of the fishy smell.
10/10 from me. x

Re: anyone tried miracle noodles
What are they made of that they have a "fishy" smell? I've seen them on the pages of FitDay and wondered if they were legal but I'm no ready to add anything like that to my daily intake just yet....I'm just moving out of extended induction into OWLOriginally posted by Zarabelle View PostYou have to boil them for 10 mins prior to cooking to get rid of the fishy smell.

Re: anyone tried miracle noodles
I think the smell is from the liquid they are packed in, and it needs to be thoroughly rinsed to get rid of that.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: anyone tried miracle noodles
I have only used them in stirfries, and have rinsed them off first then put them in boiling water for a few minutes then drained and added them to the wok with the other veggies used.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
