    Re: anyone tried miracle noodles

Thin, long, translucent noodles made from very fine strands of a gelatinous substance called glucomannan, which is taken from the "devil's tongue plant" (Japanese yam), also known as Konjac or konnyaku. Their texture is slightly rubbery and they don't have a flavor of their own, but they pick up the flavor of the broth or other ingredients in the dish in which they are simmered. These are packaged in water and should be drained and rinsed thoroughly before use. Zero carbs!

Boil noodles for 10 mins and drain
Meanwhile, fry onion, bacon, chilli, courgette, garlic - add chopped tomatoes. Add noodles and simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top and serve. A real treat!

Be careful of the carbs - because of the amount of veg, this is not suitable for induction.

Okay, so I tried these today with chicken alfredo. It was mixed reviews. I didn't mind the taste (they really don't have a taste) but i didn't really like the texture, actually I couldn't even finish a serving of them. However, two of my coworkers thought they were great, compared it to al dente noodles. I don't think I will buy them again but my coworkers said they would. So 2/3 people recommend them.
I WILL learn to feel comfortable in my own body again!

'Al dente noodles' is a good description of the texture
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I got the tofu Siritaki noodles from a local store, ($1.49 for an 8 oz bag 2 net carbs for the whole thing) and I thought that they were awesome! they came in spaghetti, angel hair and fetticini. I just used a little parmesan and butter. They were just like regular al denti noodles. I just rinsed them for a minute in cold water and that weird smell disappeared. I HIGHLY recommend these over the non tofu shiritaki. THose are like eating gristle.

I had heard that the tofu shiratake noodles did have a better texture but unofrtunately as far as I know we can't get them over here
