I am using a book titled Calories and Carbohydrates by Barbara Kraus copyright 1987. The book lists measure/quantity calories and carbohydrates (grams).
The book lists an onion as: 1/2 cup chopped (3 oz)- 33 calories and 7.5 carbs.
I do not think this is net carbs. How do I figure out the net carb value of foods?
Anohter example is garlic 1 whole raw (2 oz) calories =68 , carbs =15.4
I do not eat an entire head of garlic in a day, but I could eat an entire onion.
I use onion in my egg omelet, onion in my salads and in vegetable mixes.
Any advice??
Thanks
