I mix in feta cheese, spinach, and tomato before cooking it...or...I have sharp cheddar cheese, bacon, mustard, and low carb ketchup on it...or top it with sour cream, avocado, and swiss cheese.
I like to spice mine up and make them into Santa Fe burgers, which I top with a touch of sour cream, salsa and a couple of slices of avocado.
I also make spicy Thai burgers, using ground pork. They are so good they don't need any additional flavoring or sauces. If you do want to add a condiment, I use chili-lime mayo.
Burgers don't have to be boring anymore.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

I like to stuff them: make two hamburger patties, then sandwich a filling in the center, pinch the edges shut and cook. The fillings I like are cheese (blue cheese, feta, parmesan), sun-dried tomato slivers, sliced olives, sauteed mushrooms, chopped bacon and cheddar cheese, basil pesto, etc.
If I don't stuff them, then I pour on a sauce...I particularly like mayo mixed with a chopped chipotle pepper.
Lately I have been using two raw portobello mushrooms as the 'bun' when eating them.

Those mushrooms as buns are really good. Haven't done that for a while. Thanks for the reminder. I use oopsie rolls quite a bit.

Everytime I am tempted to use food to satisfy my frustrated desires, build up my injured ego, or dull my senses, I will remember, That even though I overeat in private, my excess poundage is there for all the world to see. ------------------------------------------------------------ "Eating like most people won't, so I can look like most people don't."
