My wife unsuccessfully tried Atkins (2 weeks) and then a low fat diet (2 weeks) and she only lost 1 pound. She is very frustrated and has heard about a diet where you only drink the Atkins shakes for 3 or 4 shakes per day and nothing else except water. Some lady she knows did that and lost 18 pounds in 8 days.
I have read about how such protein shake diets are not healthy over several months – that is why my wife is only doing it for 1 week.
I know that this is not the Atkins plan, but has anyone ever tried this?
