    What about your veggies? Are you getting any? Have you taken your measurements to see if you are losing inches instead of pounds?

        Perhaps you should follow the rules. Induction as it is meant to be done is a kind of jumpstart.
        Don't eat to little. Your body will just eat up your muscles in the process.

              If you were eating enough you wouldn't asking for help.
              Meat cheese and eggs is not induction, and is not atkins. Take livs advice and read how to do it correctly, it works when you do.

                actually i did do that 10 years ago buddy. i went from 290 to 180 in less than a year and AND AND doubled my strength which most of you will never do. went from benching 130 to 285. so i did it without losing any muscle..

                now 10 years later i find myself at 194 and i want to lost 10-15 pounds. i am older and it may take longer...i just find it hard to imagine that i havent lost one pound when the 1st tim i did this i lost almost 20 pounds in induction (over a 3.5 week timespan)

                  Your body is fighting you every step of the way. Follow the plan it is made to make the body happy. You eat till you are satisfied, your get energy for your body and yet it will willingly let go of the fat because you have reduced the carbs. It works hon>
                  You are right that it may not be as fast as it was.

                    yeah...i heard it isnt as quick as when your younger and another thought i had was i dont have much to lose which slows it down even more!!! when i was really fat it just came off so quickly.....

                      CHEESE --> carbs
                      EGGS --> carbs

                      So you are eating carbs.

                      Well, you saw yourself that it did not "jump start" anything. So maybe it's time to decide whether you want to follow Atkins or your own low-carb diet.

                      Congratulations for doing that. However, remember that this is a support board and members are expected to act accordingly. Your comments until now are, to say the least, not supportive.

                      While I refuse to call eating meat, eggs and cheese "Induction", it is normal to lose faster when you have more to lose. So you'll have to be patient and, as I've said, decide what diet you would like to follow.

                              Re: 2 weeks and nothing?

                              true..true...its just that i am doing the same thing i did 10 years ago and lost 110 pounds in less than a year with results that are quite different.

                              i think i am following induction...im sticking to more eggs and meats and some cheeses which the link you provided said was induction phase one foods...staying away from processed foods and looking at all nutritional info for carb counts etc...even changed vitamins cause they had some carbs...

                              i know im under 20 carbs because my ketosis stick in in the darkest shade..its is more black than purple...

                              so i am going to go back and re read the induction phase one to make sure i am on track..

                              thanks everyone.
