  • I've gained 2 kilos.

    Un-fricken-believable.
    I'm really not happy with myself.. I've been on a plateau for awhile and
    I guess from saturday I wasn't exactly the happiest fish in the pond so I ended up eating alot.
    Though all the food I was allowed to eat on atkins.. I did have quite abit of cheese and cream cheese also.
    =/ But I gained, before I was 57.2 now im 59.7
    I feel so disgusted with myself. =/ I've done induction already but I think I'll keep to it and drink a tun of water.
    Any advice for losing weight as fast as possible?

    there really is no "fast as possible" that you'd probably want to hear unless you do something unhealthy to yourself. you already know what made you gain. you ate too much dairy, which is a well known weight slower/staller for some people. I would be one of those people. I gained 5lbs my 2nd week, and it stuck to me for about a week and a half. Heres what I did
    -cut out the cheese. i wasn't even over doing it and it still stalled me.
    -cut out the processed meat
    -cut down the salt (which wasnt too bad anyway i thought)
    -kicked up the workouts
    2 days or so after i did all of that, i began dropping 1lb a day for the next 4-5 days. thats pretty darn fast, but i worked my butt off for that 2 hours a day, and i've since cut it back a bit to somewhere between 1-2 hours a day with rest days. it worked to get me out of my PISS stall, but you just have to try different things to see what works for you, i'm guessing not over eating cheese would be the first step.

    next time you have a bad day, learn from your mistakes. all over eating is going to do is reinforce the problems you already have with trying to lose weight, plus make your goal further away on top of that. next time you're angry/upset, go get in a good cardio workout where you can calm down. you'd be surprised how calm getting it out physically like that can make you. and you've done something good for you instead of running to food for comfort.

      Kib gave you good advice. Also make sure 80 ounces of water at least (64 is NOT enough). I usually find a cup of green tea will help flush water weight gain but dont drink it just before bed or you will be getting up at night. Also a really hard, butt kicking workout will sometimes hand me a whoosh the next day.

        These 2kg are not yet transformed into fat. You'll loose them easily in less than a week with clean induction and...some fibers.

            Thank you so much.. Its just abit of a downer I suppose, gaining so quickly.
            Uhh..I don't think I could tell you exactly what sorta menu I had from saturday though.. I was eating quite alot..
            ex boyfriend issues x.x infact..You'll properly here of him soon, hes going to be a pretty famous actor.
            My now menu is
            2 eggs for breakfast
            2 eggs or half a can of tuna for lunch
            and whatever plan meat my mum lays out with a really good helping of salady stuff. (lettuce, celery, cucumber.)
            I'll drink as much water as possible =]
            I don't have alot of time for working out but I have one of those abb king things (a cheap knock off one) I do about four three minute workout thingies on it.

              Advice for losing weight as fast as possible:

              Let your body be the boss... If you are on a plateau, continue with the diet. Think of it as you are going to kick butt and pound that plateau into the ground!

              Plateaus are a necessary part of the losing process and making it through them without wimping out is the best advice for losing weight the fastest way...

                  Jennifer, you are not eating enough. Two eggs, even if cooked in butter, have about 200 calories. Half a can of tuna, canned in oil, has about 150 (less if canned in water). Whatever meat you have for dinner maybe has something like 300 calories and the salad another 50. That's a total of 600 calories. Let's say you add a tablespoon of olive oil to your salad, to keep your fat intake up. That's another 120 calories. So the total is only 700-750.

                  At 16, your body is still developing. You've been eating this way for over 4 months now. You are messing up your metabolism by not taking in enough calories, and your general health by not consuming enough fiber and nutrients. Also, as I have said in my other replies to you, your goal weight is very low for someone of your height. Do not compare your weight now with the weight you had when you were 14 -- your bone structure and your body composition changed (and they are still changing), so it is perfectly normal to weigh more.

                  Is your weight loss supervised by your doctor? And by "supervised" I mean more than "yes, the doctor knows I'm doing Atkins". Does he know what and how much you are eating? Does he know what supplements you are taking? How much you are exercising? No sane doctor would recommend a menu of 700 calories per day to a 16-year old teenager who already has a healthy weight but wants to lose 20 lbs!

                  Besides talking to your doctor, you should move to OWL, introduce more vegetables, diary, nuts, etc., consume more calories and exercise more than 3-4 minutes. Don't screw up your health -- years from now, you'll come to regret it.

                    Yes, I agree with the above advice. Jen, if you do not eat enough you will feel miserable, it is body chemistry. It will not matter how skinny you look if inside you feel lousy. On this or any other diet you need to look inside yourself, how are you feeling now? It should be happy and energetic if you are doing it "right".

                    Glad to hear about you BF becoming famous. I hope that does not put pressure on you to compete.

                    My BF is kind of famous too and when he got interested in someone a year ago I was so jealous. I changed my hair, make-up, clothing etc and then this year I met the female. She is UGLY. Cracked skin, over made-up, yellow teeeth etc. When she saw me she got braces for her teeth and I guess now she is trying to lose weight etc. It doesn't matter how she looks that was not why he was attracted. Anyway he is back with me. And the secret is? I made him feel good about himself. And the other female? She is a successful, fun-loving, popular individual, does all his hobbies better than I do. BUT... she is all about herself, her sucesses, her interests i.e. too self absorbed.

                      First, I think I got my height messed up...Thats properly why people keep saying this..
                      Im deffantly not skinny so I must be around 5 foot? 5 foot 1?
                      Im not tall at all, and when I eat how Im eating now I do feel alot better..
                      If I eat any more I feel as if I need even more than that and I start pigging out on all the dairy stuff.
                      My friend is the same height as me and she is 45 kilos and doesn't look anorexic at all. 50 kilos for my height is pretty normal.. I need to have a lower kind of weight than an average jo because of my acting. Most agents are pretty hard on weight.

                      I can't introduce diary or nuts in my diet, this whole form was about me gaining 2 kilo's from that. Whenever I eat that stuff I can't stop myself.

                      I do take supplements, I haven't seen a doctor.. My mum hasn't ither but were in it together.
                      I haven't had my period since december. Who knows though that might be it.
                      I talked to my mum about the period thing and she says its normal for the period to just go away and randomly come back.

                      As for the Ex boyfriend the scary thing is, he'll never be coming back.. So its alot stress for me.. I still love him, I thought my feeling for him would be far gone by now but there still here. If not the same about of passion for him then more. I miss him more than anything.

                        I've never heard that... it's approaching 4 months since you've had one. That's not normal. If my daughter (who is now 23) had gone 4 months without a period at your age, I would take her to a doctor.

                        Instead of guessing your height, how about measuring yourself?

                          I agree with Mitzi - if you used to have regular periods but haven't had one since December you should see your doctor about that. I don't think it is at all 'normal' and needs looking into.

                          If the reason you don't know your height is that you don't have access to a gym or somewhere with the proper equipment to do this you can do it at home with someone's help.

                          Just take your shoes off and stand straight with your back against a wall or door frame holding a large hardback book on top of your head resting against the wall/door frame. Get your mother or a friend to mark where the underneath edge of the book is against the wall/door then you can use an ordinary measuring tape to see what your height is.

                              Periods stopping are an indication that your body is having problems - most likely with the way you are eating (or not eating)

                              Not sorting those out now might mean you are building future problems for your own health and fertility so please reconsider ignoring them and see your doctor.
