  • Wheat germ

    I bought some wheat germ from the health food store. Any suggestions on how to use it in recipes? I find that my vitamin E intake is consistently low and I would like to increase the daily dose.

    Wheat germs are not compatible with Atkins till you get to rung 9. So I advice much caution.
    On induction you could try dark green leafy vegetables - they are a good source of vitamin E - later when on rung 3 - you can add some nuts.

      Thank you for your observation. I have misplaced my book and can't remember which rung had wheat germ. I also have some nice sunflower seeds.

        The sunflower seeds are for OWL Rung 3. Here are the Atkins rungs:
