    Thanks for all the cool and interesting information folks! Sorry if my original posts didn't sound friendly, that was not my intention. I can see now that this program is way more complicated and scientific than I had originally thought, but I am intrigued. I will keep doing the research and follow the program faithfully.

      I'm happy that you are doing your research and asking questions before you begin. I always tell people that you wouldn't install your baby's car seat without first reading and understand the instructions, so why would you start a diet without first reading and understanding what the diet entails.

      I was skeptical of Atkins too. Then I read the book and read it again. It made sense to me----more sense than the low fat vegetarian diet I had previously been on.

      So good for you. Be as informed as possible before making your choice.

        On the Edit your Details page, under Atkins Phase, there is a spot at the top that is blank... You can just leave that field blank until you start induction...
