Hi there gang.
I was wondering... is it possible that Induction (followed strictly), may just not work for some people? I have been following the Induction plan since August of 2008. Initially, I lost 5 lbs, but after that, it just stayed there or even went back up to where I was before, and even gained several pounds.
Now, I have been recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disorder (the most common form of hypothyroidism), and they are adjusting the medication accordingly, but could that be enough reason to stop doing Atkins? I fear that if I am not losing with less than 20g carbs a day, then perhaps my body is also not processing the fats properly as the plan would dictate, and I could be actually doing harm to my body.
I have also posted in the Thyroid part of the forum, but I wanted to know if anyone else out there thinks that perhaps this is not the way to go for me at the moment. I want to lose weight, but, much more importantly, I want to do it in a healthy way.
