    sorry missed that last post..
    ive lost 20lbs all in but that was after the 1st 4 weeks..started end of february,come mid march i just ground to a spectacular halt..not lost a pound since
    and ive been tested for diabetes,thyroid,blood pressure.,cholestral..all came back ok

      OK, so we know that you CAN lose, the circumstances just have to be right... and now that you are actually in ketosis and have made lots of changes, things should start moving in the right direction within the next month... don't give up now, you are so close to getting everything right

      I estimate that your muscles are retaining water because of the extra workload you are putting them through... make sure to have rest days so they can heal and release the water...

        thanks for your words..you should be a motiviational speaker lol
        this might be a small thing or it might be a big thing..im not sure

        actually getting rid of the waste if you know what i mean...im honestly lucky if i have a poop once every 3 or 4 days..and its been like that for a while ,even then there aint a lot of eh product lol
        kinda an embarressing subject but may be relevant

          Pete, many people go through a post Induction stall about this time in their weight loss. It is a waiting game to see who gives up first--you or your fat cells. You just have to wait it out sometimes. It can last several weeks but it will break.

          Finally, have you measured? Are you losing inches? If so the weight will eventually catch up.

              Hi Pete

              To me it definately seems like you should be uping your carb intake as you have been on this for a while. Most people only need to stay on Induction for two weeks, or a few weeks after... but you shouldn't stay on Induction too long, and I think your body is ready for you to start topping up with carbs. It definatley shows you can loose so it can't be thyroid or metabolic resistance. Try go up to 25grams, or even 30grams. See if this makes any difference..

              Yaaaaay.. you get to try some more yummy items to the menu

                With your workouts tum tum has a point. But I would definitely be measuring because seeing the tape measure go down can help you keep your sanity while the scale isnt cooperating.

                  believe me t.t
                  nothing would give me greater pleasure..im just terrified if i eat any more carbs i would start piling it back on..im not losing weight..but im not putting it on at the moment..dunno what to do

                    Hiya
                    don't be terrified.. keep adding 5grams of carbs more a week after induction to find your level of 'carb resistance'.. the level of carbs you can eat before putting on weight. Everyones levels are different.. ie yours could be 35 whereas your friends could be 50... so just start off with 5grams and see how your body reacts.. ie if you stay in ketosis and you loose weight. If all is well then add another 5.. and so forth.
                    Its common that many people stall or stop loosing weight if they just stay on induction for too long as your body gets use to what you are doing.
                    so move forward bravely YOU CAN DO IT..

                      i'm having the same problem!!
                      except without all the working out
                      I've been peeing pink/purple on the ketostix for almost 2 weeks and have been yo-yoing within 4 pounds of my start weight.
                      i can tell i'm thinner and have been taking measurements but why do i weigh the same!!
                      last time i did this i lost like 10 pounds the first 2 weeks!
                      aunt flo is due any day now... so for now i'm blaming that. I've been known to retain up to 6 pounds of water pre-flo.
                      so odd that the scale isn't moving... i don't get it. if i'm metabolizing fat, why do i weigh almost the same as I did two weeks ago? lol maybe i picked the wrong time of month start :P

                        and on another note- if you've been doing atkins for so long and it isn't work your body might be resisting it maybe?
                        maybe try weight watchers for awhile. i've lost weight on that too.
                        they have a points version and a low glycemic version
