Georgiana - I haven't lived with my mother for 21 years but everytime I go there, she tries to feed me sweets and treats :/ Its hard to say no to your mother!!!
And Miss Phode, that's awesome your hubby is enjoying this WOE along with you
As for me I have to cook two meals everyday and make two salads. For them, its usually rice or macaroni, or spaghetti and some kind of meat, chicken or fish with potatoes or some kind of veggie. Their salad has the usual with carrots in it. Mine is measured out and so I make it separately. Its a pain but it works for us. My husband has to have rice or macaroni for lunch. Lunch is our heaviest meal.
My eldest who is 12 usually shares alot of my meals with me and thinks its a cool way to eat. She loves the eggs in the oven with cream, veggies and cheese and the eggnog shake with the raw eggs.

6 members in the family, and I'm the only one on Atkins... of course I'm the only one with a weight problem too...
The house has no candy, cookies, cakes, pies etc... and everyone understands that it's better for me if I don't have things that tempt me overly much.
The hardest thing is keeping their grubby hands out of MY food! I explain to them that it's the only thing I can eat... and if they eat it I will be left with nothing... Not eggs or things like that, but special things like grilled chicken patties etc... Let them have their fish sticks...
