    Hi Buddies!
Sorry I haven't been around much this week. Crazy time here and I haven't felt great this week.
I am not weighing in until next week. This week I have been so-so about eating. I have been a bit heavy on the coffee/cream because that is my comfort food/drink. Also, it is one of my son's b'days today (we celebrated last night) and I did have a little ice cream. I am not feeling at all guilty about it though. It is what it is and today is a new day.
Sham, I am so excited for you about being so near your goal. It is so impressive and motivating to everyone! Sorry, I don't remember if you have any particular plans to celebrate when you reach goal?
Ognum, did you find a dog? We have 2 big dogs. My son says next time we should get a small dog. lol My youngest son is 9 and LOVES dogs! And great job with staying on track! Keep up the good work.
Norman, Nice to hear from you. I am sure you are busy. Hope all is going well with you.

EVERYONE~Have a great weekend! Be good to yourselves.

    Jane

Sham Sorry about the blood test results and your worrying. I am sure it is hard not to worry. Are you seeing a specialist or your primary dr? Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know). My thoughts are with you and I am always here if you need to talk or just want to get your mind off of things. Many hugs, Jane

              BUDDIES!

Sham...hope you are hanging in there ok. Are you planning to progress on to OWL? Seems you are close to your goal so was just curious.

Ognum..how did you make out with the dog situation? Hope you are doing well.

Norah! So nice to hear from you! We miss you.

Norman (didn't know if you would want a flower lol). I am sure you are busy but hope the workouts and eating are going according to your plan.

All the buddies...Hope your week is off to a good start! Sorry if I didn't include everyone above but still thinking of all our members.

Things are crazy here. My hubby was away at school, and got home this weekend. He is leaving again (literally any minute now, but probably tomorrow) for training for his deployment to Afghanistan. Just trying to keep up with the kids and keep busy.

              Everyone take care!

              Jane

                  Hi Buddies

Whatsername - thinking of you and hubby with his new deployment, is there a good support group where you are, I really hope so.

Sham - yes it is wet and windy. Horrible weather after the great end of October. Have you got your appointment yet?

We did get the little dog, he is really great. Walks well on the lead. When we went to meet him he was bounding over his foster mums sofas, my husband and I look at each other and said he wont be doing that in our house. We got him home and he made one attempt to jump up and a firm NO stopped him and he hasnt tried since.
I have taught him to sit on command in the last couple of days and to sit on the front door mat to have his lead put on and off. So things are good at the moment.
Yesterday we did three walks and guess what this morning I had a wosh 2.5lbs down. Hooray!

Wishing all the Buddies a good day.

                    Hi Buddies!

Afghanistan..definitely a scarey place. I have to focus on the reason they are going there which is to help the Afghan people. As for support groups here...its complicated because of where we live (rural area) but yes, there is support here, I just need to get involved with it.

Ognum..what is your dog's name? He sounds great! My youngest son (he is 9) love, love, LOVES dogs!

Sham..I can understand you staying on extended induction. I want to lose a few more pounds before I move further up the rungs.

Well, hope everyone has a great day!
                    Jane

Hi Ognum yes your dog does sound really nice why not post a pic and we can see.I like animals from far but I wont touch them Im scared even birds what a whimp!
My biggest fear is big dogs and if someone is walking with a dog on the road even if its on the lead I cross over to the other side Im scared of dogs.
Its been raining all morning just calmed down now.Its feeling like winters started.
Well done on the loss congrats!

Hi Jane we can only pray that your husband is safe when he finally goes.He is going with good intentions so God will look after him.Have a lovely day and keep smiling.

BIG HI GOING OUT TO ALL OTHER BUDDIES!

Oh, I forgot to say GRATS to Ognum on the loss! Keep up the good work.

Sham BIG HUGS for your kind thoughts.

Dogs..i used to be afraid of them too. I am still very cautious and my son knows to never approach a strange dog. If the owner is there, he is to ask if he may pet the dog. I got bit by a small dog when I was a teenager. The dog bit through my mitten and well into my hand...it was nasty and I still have a scar. It was a dog that knew me too.
Now I have 2 big dogs that are the biggest babies. My one dog looks kind of fierce and I know people are always afraid of her (which isn't always a bad thing) but she is a sweetheart and would never hurt anyone. My other dog is more afraid of strangers than anything (she is even afraid of the neighbors cat lol). She barks a lot though...which again isn't a bad thing. She sounds pretty fierce and when a stranger comes to the door, that isn't always a bad thing.

It was snowing here this morning Sham. It does feel like winter.

Hi jane reading about the dogs makes me smile and say aah but facing them is hard.I love animals but no integrating with them.My husband has pet birds and he even got me bugies and a parrot I just kept them as they were a present and pretty but never holded them I was scared they will scratch me and didnt like the feel of them.Eventually poor hubi gave them to the petstore free!
