Wow, Titan! If that's your before photo, I'm green! If you're already down 20 from there, you must be a twiggy. 17 lbs seems like a lot, but I'm kind of in the same situation.

    To everyone:
I think I'm going to start a Featherweight Check-In/Accountability Thread. Hope to see you all there!!!!

Re: Any other "featherweights" out there?

      Hi everyone,
I'm also trying to lose 20-25 lbs. Being 56 I find it's definitely not coming off the way it used to. I spent 4 weeks on induction and lost only 5.5 lbs so now I'm moving up the rungs of OWL. It's very frustrating when I do my best, eating properly, drinking the water, and (finally) exercising, just to stay the same for another week. Sometimes I just want to throw my hands in the air and say WHY? WHY BOTHER? But of course I don't, I keep slugging away, with a smile on my face and a few grumbles in the back on my mind. (Even my husband is puzzled.)

I spent 3 years at WW's with the last year being stalled, so rather than waste my money any more, I decided with my husband and son (who are both doing great of course! bless them, and me, for feeding them, lol) to do Atkins. I love this way of eating, and I track everything in FitDay. I don't have cravings, I'm seldom hungry, unless I haven't had time to eat, and now with upping the exercise, I should lose some weight or inches, right? Let's hope so!

Anyway, must go put together 2 lunches, we're having green peppers stuffed with Linda's Cheesy Spinach Bake, very delish! I use a lot of her recipes. I will definitely be posting again, so keep this thread open folks, I need it!

I can relate to everyones different points it does get harder to lose the weight we can stall for weeks like I am well thats the part that annoys us all as we get impatient and want fast results like the inducion but hey im still hanging in there everyone wish me luck the scales move for me but down not up!

Good morning folks! How's the exercise going today? Other than run after 2 dogs for 3 hours, I haven't done any yet. I need to make breakfast first, then I'll workout later. I think signing up for some of the challenges was just what I needed. Have a great day, and I'll check in later.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2002, my goal was to lose 15-20 pounds.

I ended up losing 40 and I've kept it off for 7+ years. Atkins works !

I worked out today for 45 minutes in a boot camp. It's a great motivator for me. Tomorrow I am going to take a walk in the hills. I am excited to be doing a this healthy lifestyle. DIET is now out of my vocabulary.

Boy, it's been rainy and miserable the last 2 days. I haven't walked the dog but I did use the Bowflex today. Feels great, that's for sure, and I love muscles! This is going to be short cause I need to head to bed, just wanted to check in! have a great sleep everyone,

Wow - I am THRILLED to have found this thread. I have about 30 lbs to lose and am in the 160's, too. I can totally relate to the frustration with the fight to knock off even a pound! And toss in the predictable gain due to TOM each month I feel like my weight just bounces around and it's hard to see a trend of losses at all! Argh! My measurements haven't changed all that much but I still seem to be 'melting'. Hard to explain. But I know it's working and just keep trudging along!

Just to build on this, I was curious as to how much TOM weight other women find they gain each month. I've actually hit the outer limits of a full five pounds up and am wondering if this is typical.

As for me, I just hit rung 4 and have started eating 1/4 cup raspberries. Goodness, do they taste delicious! I consider myself lucky to be doing this just as they are coming into season. I missed fruit during the early stages of Atkins. Yum!!

I wanted to loose 30lbs ... I'm down 19 after about a month ... way ahead of my schedule but that's ok. I'm thinking I might want to go down to 145. I'll decide whe I get to 150.

Being 56, I don't have a "friend" named Tom, but I used to gain 4 lbs before/during and then drop it again, blah. Now I find I have a harder time losing period. Barb you are doing so well, you inspire me! I have discovered I am metabolically(sp?) resistant to losing weight now, food seems to take forever to go through me, but my sister is the same. I lost only 5 lbs in my 1st 4 weeks on Atkins, even my husband was flabbergasted, since he and our son lost much more. (that's men for you
So, all the encouraging posts I read here, help immensely in the ongoing argument I'm having with my body. I will keep eating this way, because I love my cream, butter, chees, mayo and bacon, to go along with all the other great foods. I never feel deprived the way I did on WW's, so it's easy for me.

Well, I said somewhere this morning that I have to make lunches, so off I go. Have a great day folks, talk to you soon,
