    Really, it sounds like you are in very good health, weight wise.Unless you go near zero carb, it's going to be very hard to lose that 5 lbs.My wife is 5'5", 120 lbs and looks VERY lean.Sure you are being realistic about your size?

      Hey

      Thanks for all the awesome replies. You guys are truly wonderful to give time and attention to my question. I truly believe that my body has got back to its realistic weight where it feels safe. But my goal weight where I wanna be is still under normal weight range. I hate to starve myself or else it would be very easy for me to loose with eating nothing at all. Even if I loose 5 lbs , I would still be a healthy weight for my body.
      1 thing that I am trying now is stop eating after 7 pm!!
      Is tht a good thing?

        you should just do the induction if you really want to lose the five pounds... I'm 5ft tall myself and you are def at a healthy weight...my healthy bmi would be like 125 pounds so you seem pretty healthy to me...but like I said if the 5 pounds really bothers you do the induction sure it is hard at first but not being at the weight you want is alot harder to deal with imo...goodluck!

          The not eating after 7 pm is a good thing for most everyone. Most eating after dinner and that late at night is done out of habit or boredom, not because you are truly hungry. That was what helped me the most to stay on track and be hungry in the morning for breakfast.

          Your body does lots of things while you sleep and it does it better if it doesn't have to deal with digesting and metabolizing food. You should rest better and wake more refreshed.

            I'm not sure where you figure you need and must loose that last 5 pounds... In fact I plugged it into a BMI calculator

              Hi Thanks for the support guys

              Just to be clear I was never at 105 lbs to begin with, Right now I am at 113 lbs, I wanna get back to my original 107-108 lbs. I know 5 lbs is not a big deal but I have tried really hard to reach my goal. I was 108 last year and felt wonderful. Somehow due to my hormonal medication I gained these 5 lbs and now no matter how hard I try I cant seem to loose it. :-(
              Today was my first day of induction, felt horrible, had no energy to workout, felt grumpy all day. had my water, veggies, decaf coffee and some green tea.

              I am constipated too!!! Guys I really need your support. I might sound unrealistic to many of you but I really wanna give atkins a last try whole heartdly. Or else I have no choice but to go back to my previous low cal, low fat diet which I obviously hated.
              How long should i continue on induction to see result ???

                  Thats a question no one can answer. Since your so close to goal,you will just have to keep on plan till you get to your desire weight. Do your 2 week induction then move onto OWL. You will have to be patient,Good luck!

                    induction is your best chance to lose that weight but also excess protein can be converted into glucose so for breakfast if you eat 4 eggs instead eat 3 eggs and 1 egg yolk thats just an example to cut some of the protein out

                    normally the diet is around 65% fat 30% protein 2-5% carbs but if you wanna go extra fat loss try something like 78% fat 20% protein 2% carbs

                    but dont try eating zero protein that would make you very sick


                    dont eat any soy or aspartame

                    and no atkin products like bars or shakes they can be stallers cause they have illegal ingredients


                    also look at yourself in the mirror tell me do you look good? if you look really good then thats muscle weight

                    iv seen anorexic girls before they are damn ugly even the ones who are only semi anorexic there face's look pale they are weak unhealthy and not very hot

                    then i see hot girls who have smooth healthy skin and super toned bodys and abbs and etc the muscle makes them weigh a little more but it makes them look ALOT HOTTER

                    may i suggest you change your goal from loseing 5 pounds too looking hotter?

                    how long have you been going to the gym for? you could have very well lost 5 pounds of fat and gained 5 pounds of muscle

                    the atkins diet is a very healthy diet you could have gained muscle weight with it and now have a new hotter and healthier body weight

                        Your comment about too much protein is spot on, but the example is not a very good one. An egg is close to perfect in ratios of protein, fat and carbs to start with. I don't like to monkey with eggs because the yolk and white each contain elements that are needed for absorption and utilization of all the essential fats and vitamins contained in the whole egg.


                        From a large egg, the protein contained in the yolk is 2.8 grams and the white contains 3.5. If you eat 4 whole eggs you will have consumed 25.2 grams of protein. If you consume 3 whole eggs and an extra yolk, you will have consumed 21.7 grams of protein, only 3.5 grams less, not enough to fool with.

                        If you need to cut down protein, and I don't think the OP does because of her strenuous exercising, it's best to cut down on portions of meat while increasing the fat (butter, olive oil or mayo) in preparation or as a sauce or in salad dressing or cut out a whole egg.

                          Hi Everyone
                          I am back. Day 2 on induction. I felt extremely crappy at work today. I could not concentrate on anything at all. And I suffer the most while driving back to home. The traffic was bad and I was about to fall asleep. I could not even see properly. My brain was foggy.

                          ive been at the gym for over 2 yrs now. I was doing pretty good until I took some hormonal medication and I gained these 5 lbs. Now its almost impossible to loose weight. I am so scared of eating all that fat , I hope I dont gain more weight. My marriage is near, I will be really devastated!!

                          My menu for today was all over the placE

                          Breakfast:

                          4 Turkey Roles with 2 tblsp cream cheese
                          Some mayo
                          Decaf with half n half

                          Snack
                          2 Cheese Strings

                          Lunch
                          Small salad: Lettuce, cucumbers, Tomatoes with ranch dressing
                          Egg salad
                          Decaf with half n half

                          Snack : 10 Black Olives

                          Dinner: I think I overate here
                          1 Can of tuna with mayo
                          2 Turkey roles with cream cheese

                          I am having minor pain near my stomach and back since morning! Could it be because of constipation? Please suggest!!

                            I don't see enough vegetables in your menu. You are to have 2 cups of salad and 1 cup OTHER veggies daily -- you say "small salad" how much is that .... 1 cup?

                            As far as constipation when was your last bowel movement? If you don't enough fiber daily you will have problems having a bowel movement. But because you aren't eating so much junk you're bowels may not move as much as before. If you read the book you would have found what Dr. Atkins said about constipation. Take a tablespoon of psyllium husk or flaxseed daily. Don't take too much though, since either can leave you feeling bloated and heavy. Make sure to drink a lot (you should be drinking AT LEAST 64 ounces of pure water daily anyway) of water because if you don't you'll have bigger problems than constipation.

                              Funny thing is that my diet has been junk free since last 6 - 7 yrs. I lost 30 lbs , 7 yrs ago on a low calorie diet. almost became underweight 95 lbs. Since then I started eating normally and have gained since then. I just took psyllium husk with water. lets see if it helps. what about the pain in my side abdomen??? m kinda scared. and why am i sooooo sleepy? is this caffeine withdrawal? As i drank almost 6-7 cups a day before

                                I felt sore from my knees to my ribs on and off for a few days my first week - I attributed it to induction flu - it went away & I fell great now

                                The sleepiness will pass - it may be the lack of caffeine, but it may also be the 'flu'. Your body is making major changes...it needs a few days to adjust

                                Don't forget to eat your veggies - they have fibre in them Also, a lot of people lose more when they eat their veggies.
