  • week one

well week 1 is history and im down more than i thought. -13.4lbs. i dont like to set timelines or deadlines on my weightloss, but i do set numerous goals. i find striving for a goal is more productive for me than banging my head on a certain date in time. to me if i do that, i start getting upset with myself near the deadline if im not close to the goal. negative input usually means negative output. happy losing

    Re: week one

Try small goals in weight loss -- 10 pounds, 15 pounds at a time that way you'll have something short term to look forward to. When I loose 5 pounds I add another 5 pounds to what I pick up that way I know the amount of weight I've lost by picking up that much weight. I've lost just over 25 pounds so when I go to the grocery story I pick up 25 pounds of sugar or flour .... it's amazing to feel the amount of weight you're lost rather than just the number.

Good luck to you -- post often, get involved in some of the challenges and do other things around the forum.

      Re: week one

yep already have my mini goals set. infact the 1st mini goal i have is to lose 15 lbs. almost there! on my major goals i am treating myself to some fun activity i want to do. cant wait to take that "camping/white water rafting trip" with a couple very good friends as a reward for one of my major goals. to me its important to reward myself with an activity that gets me "out of the house" something that requires a bit of exersize, and is benificial but, is extremely fun.

Great rewards for reaching your mini-goals

I love the way you are not setting a timeline for them - the body will lose weight as it wants to no matter what schedule we try to make it adhere to, so there is no point in setting 'lose xx pounds by xx/xx/xxxx' goals

Just celebrate the pounds lost as you reach them
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
