Re: anyone else feel this way?...

Yes I can relate to both the topics discussed here.
Absolutely there are times when I wish there was something I just buy and instantly eat or pack that would require very little effort. The other week I wrote in my journal that was hoping someone would invent this Atkins food package because I really just needed something instant that would require not planning and no thought. Things are just so hectic some times. But yes I know I have to deal with those challenges even with the limitations given.

I also do tend to get a bit obsessed. I worry about it. I want this to be natural and I am working on that. If it is something I obsess about it is more like a hobby and those tend to come and go

Anyways - those are just some times. Most of the time things are just fine.

I totally know what you mean and feel your pain.

I would cook giant meals thinking I'd have left overs but my kids would scarf them all up. Now I'm a empty nester and hardly motivated to cook at all. Eating 'easy' meals like steak, hamburgers, chicken over and over again... nothing like a can of tuna straight from the can! lol. But, could never go back to frankenfood again either... some of those frozen dinners are NASTY! and it's scary what all the chemicals are! lol.

Just feeling your pain... rant away!

thanks, liv & julie - at least i know i'm not the only one feeling this way...in all honesty i really HATE feeling obsessed with my woe - but in some ways, I'm terrified to stop being obsessed because then I'll become lax and start eating things I shouldn't and I'll put the weight back on. it's almost a no-win situation. There's actually a new word that some people are using for an "unhealthy obsession with healthy eating" called "ortho-rexia" (google it).
and I'm really afraid that's exactly what I have.
but at least it's HEALTHY for my body...maybe not my mental status, sometimes, but my body - absolutely!

I do wish though that some days I didn't obsess over it so much and that it was "ok" to just "go with the flow" sometimes and partake in foods like everyone else does - but it's having always done that in the past that GOT me to 200.
