  • Why am I craving FAT

    I don't know but lately I am craving fat. cream, butter, peanut butter, macadamian nuts not sweets thank goodness. I have not had the peanut butter but did have some extra butter on my eggs and a little cream in my decaff which by the way was sooo yummy. I have been drinking it black. I don't know why I am craving fat and I lacking it in my diet with my exercise. I have to given in really to my fat cravings and I have lost 3 pounds this week on TOM. I'm not sure what to think. Do you think it's something my body needs or maybe my body wants fat cause it's scared to lose it I don't know strange.

    arent you supposed to be eating a lot of fat? well I mean like butters and fats that are not sugars etc..

      I am eating a lot of fat just I am craving more I am happy with craving it and not sugar but was wondering why. Is my body breaking down it's own fat too fast or what just curious on the reason.

        If you're not eating enough, you may just be hungry and your brain is interpreting that as a craving for fat, since fat will satiate you better than almost anything. On Induction, I found that ~70% of my calories were from fat when I lost the most and felt the least hungry.

        If you grew up like I did, it's very hard to start eating that much fat on purpose, but you'll just sabotage yourself if you try to do a low-fat version of Atkins. And that percentage will drop as you add back carbs, so don't get too freaked out.

          I'm not freaked totally misinterpreting my question I was just wondering why my body craves it a lot of your answer I totally think is probably what is happening maybe with mny worout I need more and I ahven't upped it enough. I always notice after I eat fatty foods I get hot flashes so my metabolism spikes after I eat them. I try to eat fat with every meal so I will try to add a bit more and see what happens. Hey, at least I am craving fat and not sugar LOL.

            You're burnin fat baby! Prior to a loss I too would crave fat. I think your body is just working over time right now. Feed it the fat it's craving and always remember "FAT BURNS FAT"

                My responce I read it it kinda came out wrong hope you know what I ment kinda sound like a bag sorry. Good responce by the way it's like my brain didn't read it right the first time I must be freaken tired was up too early with 5 kids in the house AHHHH. Any how thanks.

                  I just made myself half a cup of home made ice cream MMMM yummy I feel so full I could explode but, it was sooo yummy and the craving is gone. I guess it just wanted some fat. I put extra coconut oil in the icecream so it was extra fatty. LOL

                      I use my blender and crush about 2 cups of ice to a fine powder drain any water out of it then I pour cream over the top mixing with a spoon put 1 capful of vanilla and 1-2 packets of splenda MMM yummy. This is probably not good for induction as it uses a little more cream then the 4 tbs but not much. I'm sure you could make it induction friendly though.

                      I just was craving ice cream one day thought of powdered snow and then this came out of it lol.

                        did you know that in the mouth there are sensors that detect fat adn stimulate a pleasure zone in your brain when they are activated?

                          Never thought of that maybe it was cause I was stressed I used to have a chocolate bar when I was stressed now I have to exercise which I couldn't do yesterday I had a little baby that was colicy and so I guess I turned to fat instead but, I left the craving in the dust and was rewarded this moning being 229. WOOHOOO!!
