Fat is kinda comfy though. Like now I have the thing where if i sit a certain way, my butt/legs fall asleep. Same if I rest 1 leg on the other the one leg falls asleep.
Sitting on a hard surface is much more uncomfortable now. My femurs/hips feel like there's nothing protecting the joint.

I'm not sure I miss this, but I've noticed that I'm in the minority of the non-obese, non-out of shape people at any public gathering.

      Let's see ... what do I miss???

Oh ... the pharmacists at the drugstore where I go no longer knows me on a first name basis. LOL! My diabetes is gone thus no needles, insulin and a total of three oral meds ... hypertension is gone thus no more meds ... GERD gone ... various meds for progressive treatment of pain no longer part of my life ... insomnia gone.

      I miss nothing, seriously.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

Honestly, the thing I miss would be just the "comfort" for that moment/split second in time of binging and feeling totally relaxed. Since a lost of over 70lbs (no where near finished yet) I'm learning how not to binge eat and plus I find I really can't. My stomach can't hold as much and thankfully my mind has started working and advises me that this isn't helping anything. Other then that absolutely NOTHING... can't wait to be smaller so I can do more things.

Yeah, this last weekend I went camping with the family and ate regular camp food and then pigged out on junk food when I got home. I told myself I'd stop at my fav fast food joint and indulge.

As I was eating these foods, I didn't get the food high I used to get. Funny part was my body didn't react at all it seems from the junk food.

I gained a total of 5 pounds from my junk food vacation.
I'm back on my diet and now for the first time on atkins, I'm going to start exercising. I have a new goal of 165 and 2 months to get there.

I miss sleeping throught the night. I literally wake up 3x/night to go to the bathroom because I drink so much water now. The fat has to leave the body some way though!

Re: What You miss from being fat?

I am still fat, but I don't miss anything from when I was bigger than I am now............

I love being able to wear size 14 (regular size) clothes again, not huffing and puffing when we go places and I have to walk a distance...........

I eat less, sleep less - which enables me to enjoy life a LOT more.!!!

I can't say that I miss anything about being fat either, although I never get a good night's sleep anymore because I am up every two hours visiting the bathroom. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable as well. Tonite I decided to put an air mattress on top of our regular mattress so it doesn't feel like a coil is piercing my ribs. Hopefully this will work until we save up for a Tempur-pedic mattress.
