Your brick chart looks great! I am also tempted to try the pizza. Haven't had a lot of luck using pork rinds so far--I think they are gross plain so I don't want to be able to taste them at all in a recipe--but I might try one last time with the pizza recipe to see how it tastes. It really LOOKS so good!

Barr, I've also been kind of in a slump and feel somewhat lazy these days. I'm going to try to do better as well.

Happy, I like pork rinds, but only with some sort of dip. Also have used them in recipes where I used to use bread crumbs [meatballs] - can't taste them, just a binder.

Did pretty well yesterday, but won't count my breakfast. I had leftover from Sunday [which included hashbrowns - I know - stupid] - but ate them anyway. That is now history, good eating from now on !!

Made recipes of Lindas site yesterday. Big Mac in a Bowl for lunch and Cabbage Roll Pie for supper - both were really good!

My weight was up a pound this morning, so can't add those bricks, but hope to before the end of the week ... just gotta keep it going

Ron, Great post! Your approach sounds terrific. I think it's much better to focus on the journey rather than on the ultimate destination. The way you've set this up gives you plenty of opportunity for positive feedback as you reach reasonable intermediate goals.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll do well.

ThomasEarl - thank you for your comments! Let me know if you'd like a copy of the "Brick Chart".

Happy/Barr - I'm glad you both are hanging in there with me ~ thank you! The new WOE seems to be getting easier but watching the bricks fill in help ME feel like it's easier. I find that I'm satisfied easier with less food and I find the days are a breeze; it's the evening meal that seems to not satisfy my desire to eat. I look forward to being on down the road a couple of more weeks and having everything feel even more "normal" with this WOE. Thanks again for the support!

            Day 11 -

I'm down 8 pounds since I started my new WOE and down 11 pounds from a week before that.
I'm finding that it is definitely getting "easier" to do and plus, I'm noticing the lust to wander onto 13th Street in Carb-city is deminishing.
My brick chart (updated on page 1 of this thread) has been invaluable and even a crutch at times. It's kind of crazy how a simple tool like that chart has helped me stay strong but it has worked.
Albeit excited about all this success, I know there are bricks of a different kind ahead of me; evil bricks. The dreaded "Wall of Plateu" that I will have to overcome; All I can say is that I plan on hitting it head on and combating it with my own bricks and stay the steady course of persistence and remaine vigilant of the beckoning call from carbs behind me as I trek forward on this journey.

Onward we go, brick by brick...

Did well eating both Tuesday and Wednesday - so filling in 6 meal bricks. Haven't got back to 228 yet [sitting at 230 today] - so hopefully will add more pound bricks pretty soon!

Re: 50-50-50 Club - Need Members!

2 weeks of induction behind me! Woo hoo!!!

                  43 meals
                  15 days
                  10 pounds

68 bricks total! (Chart on page 1 of this thread updated)

Staying the course and having a fantastic supportive wife who has made some wonderful meals for us the past two weeks, I'm staying on induction for 2 more weeks. The only thing I like from the AFL in Phase II are cashews so there are so few of those even allowed due to carb-content that it's not even worth upsetting the pace I have going.

Thanks for all of your comments and support!

I've been on travel for work - I went to Martha's Vineyard, MA. What a great experience. Day 22 and going strong! This "thinner" feeling is feeling pretty darn good!

sorry - I have forgotten to update this for a while - I think I've become a bit 'lax' - so really need to focus...I've gotten lazy with my food this week also, not sure what's up. I'm not really eating off plan, just not planned out as well as I have done in the past.

                          Ron, you are doing great...congrats!

Wow, Ron! Chart looks great--congrats on the weight loss too! I have been struggling with new thyroid med and the cravings that have come with it. Plus, was stuck on the same weight for 18 days. So...I haven't been coming around and posting much. I still fill in my charts though, thank you! Keep up the good work. Happy Thanksgiving!
