Eggs do it to me, sometimes, unless scrambled or soft-boiled. Personally I'd go to a doctor and make sure you do not suffer from acid reflux syndrome, a potentially dangerous illness.

Are you eating your vegetables? You need vegetables too.

If you are eating your veggies and drinking your water then heartburn is not normal. In fact my reflux is MUCH better on Atkins than when I am off. How about letting us know how much you are drinking and what you are eating with a menu post.

          Re: Heartburn!

It depends on the individual about what gives them heartburn. For me, I always get it if I eat ground beef and/or onions. It's been really bad the past few days, and I noticed I've been putting onions in everything...so no more onions! I'll see if my heartburn disappears after that. Cucumbers also give me heartburn (weird, I know).

You'll need to find out which foods give you heartburn and limit them. You could also see your doc to check about whether you have acid reflux disease. My hubby has it and he takes Prevacid every morning...it helps him quite a bit. I know Pepcid Complete works very well, but I can't find a sugar free one. I ended up taking a regular one yesterday (grrr) because my symptoms were driving me nuts. But today, so far so good (no onions lol).

When does the heartburn hit you? Is it after you take your vitamins? At night? that can give some clues as to why. Can you post a menu?
