Re: This is my confession ....

I've been back on the WOE for over a month now, but I'm still not strong enough to go to restaurants that serve a bread item along with the menu (Carabba's, Red Lobster, any and all Mexican restaurants, etc.). Funny because here at home we have tons of stuff I can't eat, yet I leave it alone. Maybe it's just habit or triggers or some such. Now I have a friend who is on Weight Watchers, and she's doing AWESOME, just has lost so much weight and looks fabulous. We went to eat together a couple times before I started the diet, and she just put the chips/bread aside. I'm impressed and can't wait to be able to do the same.

Yes it does take some doing. I know I can look at them and resist those biscuits but when there are things that speaks too loudly I have to have them removed. Everyone will grab their portion and the rest is removed. Hopefully that is something you can do next time.

If neither of you want them, tell the server to take them away ... or don't let them get put down in the first place!

I can ignore most breads but I love those cheddar biscuits too. When I go, I tell the waitress to not even bring them or I have her bring one for each of the others at the table and let them get them on their plates before I weaken.

When faced with something like that, I say to myself, "If I really want that, I'll make my own when I get home." There's low-carb equivalent for most things (and they usually taste just as good ). I realize this type of thinking might not work for everyone, but it's worth a try.

It is hard to pass the rolls at the table. My husband likes to eat out so I feel your pain. Try not to beat yourself up about it. Just start anew and keep with. Remember this is a life style change, and you are human. You don't get kicked out of the club for eating a roll..
