  • Eatting cheese?? a must??!?!

    14 day induction.
    Well, should I be eatting cheese, I can't stand cheese, the smell/taste/texture alway make me feel like puking, I am in keto!(for sure) will not eatting cheese slow me down?

    Interesting question. Why do you think you have to eat cheese?
    Did you have a chance to read the book yet?
    No cheese if fine - get your protein from meat or fish instead. No problem at all.

      Of course not... cheese isn't required. I hate eggs; I don't eat them and I stay on plan, no problem (my problem with eggs is that I have never found a consistency that I can stand; the taste isn't the issue).

      However, I used to HATE cheese before I started Atkins.

      My tastes changed and now I really like them - the harder and sharper, the better.

      Go figure!

            Cheese isn't a requirement on Atkins, but an allowance (i.e., 3-4 oz. per day). As with all legally and medically-optional things in life: if something isn't for you, skip it!

              I have to tell you, a small chunk of parm or a really sharp cheese is a treat!
