  • I' had some problem of my weight!!!!!!!

    My, Dears All....

    My name is Faisal From KSA

    I like Atkins diet more than any diets
    Because, Atkins diet is my live ^_^



    Can you help me?


    I' had some problem of my weight.

    my weight does not detract!!!!


    and I' used Atkins diet , I'm started before one years ago

    that time , I'm lose at 18 to 20Kg ' but now

    my weight not detract , and I get only 30to 60 grams of crabohydrate

    , 65 grams that is maximum of carbohydrate

    so my weight not lose so

    I want lose like before


    can any body Guide me to lose my weight

    my weight now at 86 , 88 Kg and my Hight is 178CM

    I want to 75kg

    And I like more eat Fat and Protien

    but I'm not lose now!!! Why!!!!!


    Help my please!!!!!!!

    eat less carb(20MAX)/drink more water? sorry I am new to this diet too.

      I'm Get 45g of carbohydrate

      and some times 38g , and another day's get 45g.... 35g .... 49g


      like that but

      useless


      what can I do?

        Have you read the book that we follow here on the ADBB?


        Dr. Atkins in Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 ed.

        And here are links to some information, but you really need to read the book.

        Atkins Low Carb Dieting - FAQ's - Atkins Diet

        So what kind of help do you need? Did you read the book last time you were on the diet?
        Can you put in your signature your start/current/goal weight, and you height, possibly your age? That makes it easier to help you. Let us know what kind of help you are looking for.

          How much water do you drink per day?
          Are you exercising? Are you on a rung or still doing Induction with more carbs? Maybe too much cheese? Maybe post a menu so other can take a look and help.

              What Christie said. If you post a complete menu, we can take a look. The menu might be useless if you don't include quantities and net carbs, so make sure you do this for all foods.

              Are you restarting Atkins? How long ago did you restart?

              What are your height, current weight and goal weight?

              How much water are you drinking?

              Are you exercising?

              Are you losing inches? Sometimes we lose inches without losing pounds?

                and I'm reading Daily

                I have Book it old Issue 1998 that book Yellow colors

                Only this I have and also I checked this link , and I know information of foods carbohydrate

                can you give me Point of my problems at this link

                so, my problem is weight is not lose than before

                My hight is 178CM , and now Weight between 86 and 88 Kg

                my age is 27


                and I'm read book Atkins , and I'm lose before with Atkins roles .... more than now

                  yes, I'm drink water daily 2 laters maybe

                  no I'm not play exercising, but only walking daily..

                  Are you on a rung or still doing Induction with more carbs?

                  too days of week end only rung , and 5 days of week use rules


                  no not much I' eat cheese..

                  Now me, I'm not walking too much but littile and I eat nuts normaly

                  it's like Makdamya and pumpkin seeds , and beef checkin , faish , and another meats like sheep , and i like coffe

                      Faisal, the 1998 book is the same as the 1992 edition. At ADBB we go by Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution (2002). There's 10 years of Dr. Atkins' experience with patients that's "missing" in your book. So if the advice you receive here is not always in agreement with what you've read in your book, you know why. I encourage you to get the most up to date edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, which is the 2002 edition.

                      It's impossible to know your problems if you are telling us so little about you. You are complaining that you're not losing, but you're not telling us what you DO to lose. Once you do that, we should be able to make more suggestions regarding your diet.

                      The way to lose is to follow the Atkins plan correctly. No tweaks, no "I did this before and I know how to do it", no comparisons with how you lost weight a year or ten years ago. Now is now.

                      You can familiarize yourself with the 2002 plan by reading the FAQs on this site. They are not a substitute for the book though.

                      Do you realize that Atkins is a way of eating for life, not a diet you do for X weeks or Y months?

                      Cheating or "stopping" Atkins is likely to mess up your metabolism and make it difficult to lose weight. However, in your case, I have a "gut feeling" there's something else going on as well. Posting a menu will hopefully tell more.

                        no I'm not restart Atkins, I'm still rules of atkins

                        but two day's of week end I restart Atkins but net carb at between 68 &
                        85 grams of carb. only two day of week end


                        What are your height, current weight and goal weight?
                        my height is 78Cm, and weight between 86 & 88 Kg

                        and I want 75Kg



                        How much water are you drinking? two laters daily

                        Are you exercising? no not yet, but only walking on foot

                        Are you losing inches? Sometimes we lose inches without losing pounds?

                          2 L is a minimum. It might not be enough for you. Drinking more water often helps... so maybe add another liter to what you're already drinking. That would be 3 L per day.

                          There is no such thing as "Induction with more carbs". Induction is 20 net carbs. Anything else is not Induction.

                          Are you eating any vegetables? The majority of your net carbs (total carbs minus dietary fiber) should come from vegetables. Doing "Atkins" without vegetables is not Atkins and very often does not work.

                            Breakfast
                            - first food, 120 g, 2.1 net carbs
                            - second food, 60 g, 5.2 net carbs

                            Lunch
                            - first food, 300 g, 0.2 net carbs
                            - second food, 150 g, 6.2 net carbs
                            - third food, 15 g, 0.3 net carbs

                            Dinner
                            - first food, 250 g, 0 net carbs
                            - second food, 100 g, 3.2 net carbs
                            - third food, 30 g, 0.3 net carbs

                            Total calories: 1732
                            Net carbs for the day: 17.5 g

                            If you cheat during the weekend, it's not surprising you are not losing. Atkins is not a "diet" you follow only 5 days a week.
