It's the "uneventful" bit that concerns me as I look out of the window on a bright, crisp winter's morning thinking I could be out there in the fresh air.
But yes, I hope for a recovery without complication-events.
The risk is that the blood supply to the ball of the hip will not restore itself and that bone will die. Then it's a full hip replacement. I have been told my fracture was not right across so there is a good chance of regeneration.
I will have to be patient. My fitness is a very great advantage - discharged the day after major surgery!

Amusing anecdote:
The physiotherapist is running through her list of routine questions -
"How far can you walk." (Before accident)
I raise my shoulders and turn up my palms
"20 miles?"
"I put down one mile", she said!
Of course the majority of their patients are geriatrics.
When I was in the Army (up till last year) all the broken bones were down to sports injuries, or these days war-zone injuries.
I am used to seeing young soldiers skipping around on crutches. I am getting there!

Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Began Atkins March 04 at 260lb, reduced to 203lb by April 07 and maintained.

Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.
I hope this goes by quickly for you. You might find something new you like doing to help pass the time.
I am most impressed by your attitude. Despite what has been thrown at you, you are keeping it in perspective. I think your positive attitude is going to make all this go by easier and quicker.
Good luck with everything. Just think how much better recovery will be since you lost weight and are in great shape! That makes a HUGE difference. Be sure to keep eating well, drink that water and exercise when you are allowed to again.
