  • Your favorite Atkins kitchen tools/gadgets

    Hi all,

Not sure if there's a pre-existing thread on the topic, but I was wondering what your favorite kitchen tools are, that support this WOE.

I am a recent college grad, and will be living on my own soon. In a perfect world, I'd have the following tools in my kitchen:

    1. Vitamix
    2. All-Clad Slow Cooker from Williams Sonoma

What do you all use or desire to use?

Mine is my slap-chop. I use it for quickly chopping veggies for salads, adding in to recipes, ricing cauliflower for recipes, etc etc.

          My indoor grill.

My 2 coffee makers. Just kidding, I know those aren't "Atkins" friendly.

My favorite pan is the one I can make both my flax bread and the zuchini pizza pie with.

On my wish list is a stand-up mixer...which are in the several hundreds of bucks. *sigh* Will be saving up for one, I really want one! Will be la long while though lol.

Lisa, I have a stand mixer and I LOVE IT! I would give up my microwave before I would give up my mixer. Mine is a KitchenAid and I got it on ebay, directly from the KitchenAid company. It was a refurbished model and has been great. I have had it for 5 years now. It was a cheaper way for me to get one and I have had no problems.

                Good luck!

Thanks, I should look on eBay and see what's there. Refurbished sounds as good as new to me...I cook a lot and having one of those would be fantastic!

Re: Your favorite Atkins kitchen tools/gadgets

I am the kitchen Gadget queen My husband had to build me a huge cabinet to store all my gadgets. Some I no longer use since being on Atkins (like my pasta maker and juicer) but I still like having them around I don't use my kitchenaid mixer as much as I use to but I still use it to make oopsies and meatloaf. Love my food processor to shred cheese and grind pork rinds. My egg cooker is a must. Finally able to make good hard boiled eggs. Also love my Senseo coffee maker(sshh, don't tell the hardcore Atkineers I said that ) I also have 4 different sizes of crockpots which I use all the time. My rotesserie makes the best chicken. Oh and my 2 yogurt makers. I think I should stop now. But I could go on and on and on and........
My doctor told me to stop having intimate dinners for four. Unless there are three other people.

Everytime I am tempted to use food to satisfy my frustrated desires, build up my injured ego, or dull my senses, I will remember,
That even though I overeat in private, my excess poundage is there for all the world to see.

The one thing I got specifically for Atkins was a digital scale with the TARE feature. It makes measuring so much more accurate.
