Re: tryng not t give up but i have lost nothing in months

suzzane, i am exactly the kind of person who, in the book, dr atkins recommends to stay on induction longer. i am highly metabolically resistant. i don't believe adding carbs would help in my case. i am taking a break from atkins to seek medical help. i did extended inductin by the book, but got nowhere. "healthier living" is little comfort when i still look like i live on danish and pizza.. i'm afraid weight loss is my primary goal for right now.

. i am not doing the fat fast. i considered it but decided not to although i think it would safe with my level of resistance. i just don't think i could stick to it.
i'm 25 years old, mom of two, ready to do this once and for all!
note: i am breast-feeding, though my baby is nearly weaned, eating most solid food now. i am doing this diet with the knowledge, approval, and at the suggestion of my doctor and having done my homework. i will not discuss the matter in any of my posts. please don't bring it up.

tweedledee have you checked your nutrtion to see if you are missing any vits and or minerals? It is very hard to get all the vits and minerals we need from the legal induction foods even with a vitamin pill. Being low in several of them can slow your metabolism.

that is why moving to OWL rung one with the 5 more net grams of those yummy veggies can help many low induction losers lose weight.
Betty on early mod and admin here lost nothing for her induction and ended up dropping 40 pounds in 10 months to become a goalie.

there is a big difference with doing Atkins and doing extended induction.

also the fat fast just lasts for 1 week i think to help get your metabolism going then you go back to extended induction

Nobody is questioning your doing Atkins and breastfeeding.

you are the one who brought it up when you brought up other options, fat fast, lap band surgery and taking a break from Atkins er extended induction.

we are trying to help you figure out why you are not shedding body fat and are having the symptoms you posted in your other topic.

Now again have you checked to be sure you are getting the vits and minerals you need? it has nothing to do with breast feeding issues

being deficient in calcium for example can cause metabolism to slow down due to the corrective messures the body takes to raise blood calcium levels. That was what all those milk your diet commercials were based on.

Being low in the Bs can effect metabolism too as can many of the minerals.
