That chart is mad! As Wet Banana says you have to be slimmer at 5'8 than 5'7!

The half height thing seems odd too. I was never 33.5 even at my largest. I guess it depends on where you keep your fat.

What I really don't want to see is an ideal calf or thigh chart - that would make me scream I am sure!

Ok, how about this for really ridiculous: Fitness Calculators - Bodybuilding - Health - Fitness - Fat Calculators Online

You measure your wrist and it tells you all your ideal measurments! My sister, who is tiny in every way has a bigger wrist than me yet she is 3 inches shorter and about 3 sizes slimmer.

When I put my wrist in(6.5) the chest and waist are about right but the hips and thighs are tiny! This woman would surely look like a barbie were she to exist! Maybe it is for men, but it doesn't say that.

My husband is a perfect example that some these like BMI are just guidelines....He lifts weights 5x a week and is in excellent shape and quite muscular (He's not crazy bodybuider big..but in great shape). His bodyfat's low...however...according to his BMI (it's 29) at 196 lbs and 5'9" he's in the high end of overweight, bordering on obese...which in the shape he's in is crazy...

I think it's a sensible proportion, and it's based on a lot of research. People with tiny waists (not me) are not storing fat around the middle, which is where the danger lies. Even if you are very much overweight, the pear-shaped babes have fewer health problems.
I had a friend whose measurements were along the lines of 45-25-48. her thighs and calves were large, but her knees were tiny. She was the curviest person I ever saw. She had a lot of problems finding pants, as you can imagine, so she mostly wore skirts. I was insanely jealous. She weighed 20 pounds more than me, but looked skinnier because of that waistline. And her with 2 kids, too.

1st post here: not sure if it has been mentioned but Dr. Oz also stated that you should measure yourself where holding the tape around your belly button. So it is actually your belly fat and not really your waist that he was referring too. Hope this helps.
