Hmm... I don't know.
I've been doing a little research on jicama, because I've been toying with the idea of growing my own. From what I have read, jicama is available year-round from tropical America. (here is one of the places I saw this: Jicama Potato)
I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in Louisiana, I think I am getting the real deal... meaning, I think they're from south of the border, and not grown artificially. Either way, they sure haven't been very good in the last 2 weeks.

I didn't mean that they are all grown artificially, I was just wondering if maybe some were, and that was why they were not tasty. Wondering why we both have noticed a blah taste lately....
