    Re: 5'3 and under

    Hi all,

I'm under 5'3", too. 5'1 1/2" to be exact...lol (gotta take every fraction of an inch...)

This is my last day of my 2 weeks of induction, but I think I'll go a little longer, since I'm on a roll and have still ways to go - as in 60 lbs.

i'm sure the topic has been brought up before but hey.... we can revisit!

5 foot and 1/2 half [gotta count that 1/2 inch]. my weight loss was slow but that was intentional on my part. now that i'm 56, keeping the weight off has become a challenge.

I'm 5'1 at my highest I was 192. I was at 180 2/3 as of 2/6 I was at 177. Weight doesn't come off of me very fast so I was impressed with the 3lbs. Probably just water but who cares the scale moved. My goal weight is about 130

Is there anyone on here that doesn't have a bunch to loose? Is it coming off slower?

i'm not sure what you consider 'a bunch'. that may be different for everyone. but, i am basically at goal but i'm about 5 pounds over that number. so it's a little bit of weight and yes, it's slow going and requires patience.

                Mfit4Me,
I needed to lose 10 kilos, it did take awhile, but everyone says here that slower is better anyway, and it wasn't THAT slow, for a long period of time I did have a thyroid problem though.
I find that I can't eat as some people do 1400-2200 calories but a low number in order to stop gaining and start losing.
Works for me though, I just have to watch what I eat. =)

I was losing steady but I have been stuck at 188 for a while now.

If you want help, you should start a new thread for this topic. Include your stats (height, weight, age, sex, etc). Tell us what you are eating (including quantities), drinking, and how much exercise you get. We'll try to give you pointers.

Also, do a search on this site for 'PISS'. This is common in the 3rd/4th week (I don't know when you started). Also, wha is 'a while'? A day? A week? A month?

                      Re: 5'3 and under

                      Hi JulieB,
I have been stuck for about three weeks. I am not giving up though because I know the weight loss will start up again soon. I started in the beginning of December, had a bad Christmas break and started up full force again right after. When I joined Atkins boards in January I was in full ketosis.
I do very moderate exercise right now, not as much as I should.
I eat around 15-30 carbs per day depending on what meals I choose for the day. I usually eat some kind of meat with a small salad with cheese for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is usually a salad or egg salad. I have tuna and mayo for snacks.
I have been reading a lot of threads and I think I may be getting too much protein and not enough fat?
I have read the book over and over. So much so that pages are falling out. I carry it around the house with me, looks strange but when I see the family eating what they eat I just open my book. I should know why my stall happened but I do not. I do know I drink a ton of water, eat few carb foods and I am moving about most of the day.
I think it will catch up in time . I will not give up.
