    Hi again,

Is this link the "Go Greens Powder You are using?"

Are you using this instead of the veggies?

Did you look through the links I sent you earlier? It has recipe ideas for veggies as well as other food groups.

I am curious though, is that powder I used ok to use? Or should I stop?

The chapters exist indeed, but DANDR explains these phases in more detail. For example, there's no Carbohydrate Ladder in Atkins Essentials.

If you read DANDR (and not only the Induction chapter) then you'd understand why vegetables are an essential part of this plan and you'd see the emphasis Dr. Atkins put on them.

What I don't understand is why you would choose to have a diet that lacks in fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other phytochemicals. As you would know from reading DANDR, one of the principles behind this way of eating is good health.

And before you point out that you are taking supplements... nutritional supplements are just that: supplements. They are not a substitute for vegetables.

          I have very light headaches.
          Add vegetables.

Many of the ingredients are not permitted during Induction.

            should I stop?

Ok I added the Spinach... you're only allowed 2 to 3 cups a day. There are 3 cups there. Spread throughout the day. Should I add more? I've no problem doing that. Just going by the rules...

3 cups of spinach is not enough vegetables... plus, it's best to choose a variety of vegetables from the Acceptable Foods List. You have 55 to choose from.

You should be counting net carbs, which are total carbs minus dietary fiber, and eat no more than 20 per day. Over half of these should come from vegetables.

Also, despite the nutritional info you give for spinach, it does not have 0 net carbs. Check the USDA database (the link is above) for accurate carb counts.

You'd have to eat a mountain of spinach to get over half of your daily net carbs from it.

Add some cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, etc. to your salad.

There are also vegetables higher in net carbs, such as pumpkin.

                    Re: Worried.

There's a lot of processed meat on that menu you posted... which is not exactly the best choice.

Ok on the Beef Patty the ingredients are strait: Beef. Then for the Chicken Filet its: Chicken breast with rib meat, water, modified food starch, sodium phosphates. And the Hellmanns real mayonnaise claims on the nutritional values that it has 0g carbs. Just sayin.

Well then what would be good meat choices? Technically everything you buy in the store is processed in some way or another...

Modified food starch... not a good ingredient.

You can buy raw chicken and cook it yourself.

On American labels, if the carbs are less than 0.5 g per serving, they are generally rounded down to 0. The carbs could be 0.4432 per serving, but the label would still show 0. And, as you can imagine, if you eat more than one serving, the carbs will add up.

Ok I see your point. Ok but the beef is good eh? I can't really cook raw chicken given my circumstances. I'm not allowed hot plates. So I kind of need a solution for meat that I can eat cold or... unfortunately microwaved. Any ideas?

In case it's not obvious from the pictures, the babies above are raw and likely have no fishy ingredients like food starches and sugar (e.g. dextrose).
