  • Help with food labels in the UK

    Hi World!
PLEASE can someone help me to understand food labels and net carbs as used on Atkins? In England our food labels say just two things about carbohydrate an example is below.

    'carbohydrate 17.5g'
    'of which sugars 6.4g'

What do I use at my net carbs for Atkins?

    Thanks a million!

Assuming the item is made in the UK, the net carb is 17.5.

The information on sugar is just information.

It would be especially helpful to a diabetic.

In the UK and the EU, fiber isn't considered a carbohydrate ... so on labels, it doesn't get subtracted.

Whatever this is, it's not very Atkins friendly.
