Re: From Calorie Counting to Atkins

Another great thing is that this WOE makes eating veggies not only doable but ENJOYABLE. I love that I had cabbage and onions fried in bacon fat today (twice with a big dollop of sour cream. I love that I can make stir fries with healthy amounts of oil and/or cheese or delicious spinach bakes.
Who knew veggies were so delicious? When I was choking them down raw or with 'fat free' dressing or a drop a oil I didn't!!

Melly it was awesome. I ended up downing almost half a cabbage head today...had it for brekkie and lunch. It's so easy! Just sauté the onions in lard, add chopped cabbage and voila! Top w/ sour cream and bacon and you're set! A great way to get tons of fiber and veggies. It's also surprisingly sweet.

Carne, I love cabbage.. I love to saute it with onions and then tomatoes and ground beef.... but I eat way too much of it.., so before I eat it I have to portion it out and toss in the freezer.....and it is sweet tasting... I love it..I would love to try it with the bacon though.. everything tastes great with bacon!!!
