    Re: Exercise and losing weight

I only added berries and did make a mistake in OWL week 1 by not weighing and sure enough I ate far too much! Another mistake was eating them straight after a meal without the pause. I have read the book (up to OWL) and as far as I know the only thing I have not done is followed the order in which the extra foods should added i.e veg followed by dairy, nuts and fruits. I am currently puzzled about how and when I am losing weight; I had a bad week last week-I drank 4 pints of beer and ate an aircraft meal that included pasta. I always weigh myself when I get up Friday mornings after normal toilet routine. Much to my horror I had put on 1.1KG. The next morning I weigh myself and that 1.1Kg was gone-how does that happen? It is true that during the day on Friday I ate 30g of nuts and now I can feel things are different and I am a frequent visitor to the toilet for number twos. Has anyone else experienced this and how is this weight fluctuation explained.

      HI,

All I am doing is adding net carbs from fruit and not veg. Can this really make a big difference?

I follow your drift but I want to lose a further 5Kg because that is the goal I have set. I am considering fat burning exercise only and no weights-hopefully getting the best of both worlds!

dj, could you please quote the post to which you are replying? It's difficult to understand who you're talking to.

It can, if you have an intolerance to the fruits added.

You might also not be getting all the nutrients your metabolism needs in order to run efficiently. For the same number of net carbs, vegetables are generally more nutritious than fruits.
