Hmm. At my lowest weight of 175lbs, I had a 36" waistline. I gained some weight back when I got a corporate job, but late last year got back on track. I'm 180 now but my waistline is 34". Odd.

Re: Heavier but smaller waistline
That's what I'm wondering about. There hasn't been any change in my physical activity so I have no idea why I'd gain muscle mass if indeed that's what happened.Originally posted by Peytonn View Postthat sounds like a good thing.. like you're toned more.. in shape.. maybe carrying more muscle..
If I'm doing something right, I want to know what it is.Robbie T., 240/180/160. 41yr Male, Height 5'9"

Re: Heavier but smaller waistline
Maybe because we eat a moderate amount of protein along with the high fat element of Atkins we are losing more fat than muscle even if we do not do any specially vigorous exercise. I have heard the Atkins WOE described as a 'muscle sparing' diet. I don't know the scientific explanation of this.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
