  • DANDR verses Dr. Atkins Diabetes Revolution

I believe the "Diabetes Revolution" was published after his death. And there were two other authors involved in finalizing it. But, I believe the proponderance of the book was Dr. Atkin's work.

I was able to obtain a used copy and am waiting for it to arrive in order to see if there is any additional "diabetes-specific" information contained in the book.

I did a search for "Diabetes Revolution" and got several 3 page threads, but had a hard time finding references.

Has anyone on this forum done any comparrison study to the contents of the Diabetes Revolution that might be able to give me some insight to the book while I wait it's arrival?

    Thanks,

    forbey

Re: DANDR verses Dr. Atkins Diabetes Revolution

ADR was the book Dr. ATkins was writing when he died. The material is his, but the co-authors---Eberstein and Vernon---just polished the material for publication. In fact, they spell it out in the introduction that the book is "Bob's".

I read it when it was first published. It expands on some of the concepts Dr. Atkins mentions in DANDR 2002. And it gives more information specific to people with diabetes. For a person with diabetes, I think it would be helpful.

I wish Glenda was still a regular here. Glenda is featured in ADR and she was a former moderator on ADBB (as "Canuck") She was able to use Atkins to control her diabetes and would have more insight on using Atkins for diabetic co-management.
