Hello! I would just like to know if anyone has any input on how to measure how much vegetable oil I am actually eating. When I cook with a pan, I usually drop a tablespoon of veg oil in the pan. After cooking ground beef, I usually scrape the whole pan onto my plate, but for bacon and omelettes, i just scoop the egg/meat onto my plate and dump the leftover oil.
Should I count the tablespoon as whole for the beef and maybe partially for the bacon/eggs? Or should I count it as a full tablespoon no matter what? Does the food absorb all the oil usually, or is any burned away during cooking? I realise it's hard to know specifically how much I dump/eat, but any estimates?
