    Alright so here is the INFO i have from the package of the shirataki noodles package...

    skirataki noodles are made from the root of a plant called the Konnyaku imo.

    Shiritaki is made from only the soluble fiber of the plant, as such it only contains a healthy soluble fiber known as glucomannan.

    Gluten free

    ingredients: Purified water, konnyaku (Glucomannan) and calcium hydroxide..

    thats what im working with on the package...it also says its less than 1 carb per serving of 3 oz of noodles.

    So what does everyone think about these...yay or nay for atkins?

      They're fine for Atkins.

      Whether they're find for where you are right now is another question.

          those are the fiber and water noodles. some Shiritaki noodles contain soy also and are not legaluntil OWL rung 6.

                ok so that didnt work...

                typical bfast= 3 eggs =1 carb
                2 ounce cheddar=2 carbs
                6 strips bacon=0 carbs

                lunch
                2 peices chicken= 0 carbs
                4 tbsp mayo= 0 carbs
                2 tabsp sour cream=1-2 carbs
                1/4 cup onion= 3 carbs

                dinner=
                16 oz steak= carbs
                cup asparagus= 6 carbs
                cup of lettuce= 1
                1/2 cup cucumber=1

                then ill add salt pepper, some garlic powder and use a salad dressing with 0 sugar and 1 carb per serving

                and i would eat slim jims or string cheese as a snack here n there...

                so between my meals i have around 15 carbs...not including fiber...so really around 11 carbs...then my salad dressing = +1 carb..then string cheese

                so around 15-20 carb per day....some nights ill do stir fry with snow pea pods and mushrooms....i can get those carb counts if u need...but i think this should suffice

                  but as mentioned before, i know i need to lower my cheese intake...no more slim jims, no more soy sauce...and be easy with the extras

                    as you can see it looks great when you copy it but the forum reformats it and it is hard to see but it looks like your protein and fats are upside down for an atkinseer.

                    are you eatting 246 grams of protein and 108 grams of fat?

                    atkins is high fat and around 65% of your intake should be fat cals. right now you are around 47% fats

                        I think the omelette entry is wrong as it suggests you had one tablespoon of it

                        so your numbers will be out a little.
                        Otherwiae you seem a little light on your 'salad vegetables' (1.5 cups only) and a tad over on your 'other vegetables' (1.25 cups) for induction levels but not really enough to make problems.
                        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                          You're eating too much protein. You need to cut down on that. So this will mean less chicken and less beef at your meals. Instead you need to use oil and butter. Add butter to chicken, eat oil with your veggies or dressing.

                          Make you snacks deviled eggs or boiled eggs or veggies dipped in some dressing.

                            try eating less of your protein servings at your meals and adding some healthy fats to your veggies and proteins. eat the skin on the chicken or if you buy it that way then stuff it with a fat and veggie or pour a sauce made from herbs and fats over it.

                            Snacks are as needed to fight hunger. you could have a small serving of your cheese and veggie if you want to spread them out more or you could have a bite or two of a protein with some fat but you'd need to eat a bite less at meal time.

                              Mayonnaise has carbs. According to the Atkins carb counter, it's 0.1 net carb per Tbs.

                              And that's not really enough, imho. The closer you are to 20 net with MOST of them coming from Induction vegetables, the better you are nutritionally.

                              Spices have carbs, too.
