    I refuse to weight myself after an intense workout. It can be downright depressing!

      I am only doing cardio 2 times a week (mon/wed). Friday's I do Tai Chi. Oh, and I walk my dog daily too.

      I enrolled in a program at the YMCA called FitSTART where the first 4 weeks are cardio - to 'set intensity and duration of Cardio Program' ... then (well, starting next week for me) is Intro to Strength Training.

      So, basically, I've been doing what I've been guided to do. But, by reading what you all have been saying about strength training, I'm REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!

        glad you didn't panic cause you had new to your muscles load fluid retention. as soon as your body learns that new load is the normal load they will release the fluids

          I loved that TIME article. Thank you for posting the link. Grain of salt, yes. Exercise is a key component of our WOE/WOL. Besides, it makes us feel fantastic!
