    Re: Would YOU be offended?

I can tell by the diet she's on she isn't going to be able to keep up with it. Seriously, 700 calories? I agree with the personal trainer but 700 calories? You will keep it off and you should keep the clothes to give back to her when she gains it back.

No "I told you so." You don't want to stup to her level.

But I would feel offended and then get even, it may take a year or so.

      Re: Would YOU be offended?

You know, I am not sure what I would really do if it were me. It is a good question, but I have advice for you. It is always easy to tell others what we would do in a given situation. It sounds to me like your SIL is simply proud of herself. SO blindly happy and proud of herself that she cannot see beyond her own scales. I doubt she meant to be malicious. I wouldn't take it that way. I would try to rise above it and graciously say Thank You. Then, show her at the end of the day...

That is what I would like to do!! What would I really do? Stamp my feet, call her a b**** to anyone who would listen (including us) and burn the clothes.

Seriously? I would like to be the "bigger" person in all this and realize I am creating a new, awesomer me!
