Ketone stix where to buy in store?

    Ketone stix where to buy in store?

    Im going to restart my diet and dont know where to get the ketone stix from to see if Im in ketosis. Is it something i can buy is rite aid, duane reade, pathmark?

    I don't bother with them as I never managed to get those pesky sticks to change colour at all

    But I imagine you could buy them at any pharmacy section in most big stores.

      Eliz would be correct, you buy them over the counter at the pharmacy section of your grocery store or pharmacy. I live in Ontario, Canada. And I think for 100 sticks its something like 10$
      I'll be 23 next month.
      I have a wonderful/supportive bf and a daughter who is a year and a half old.
      If I cant lose the weight for myself, I'll do it for her!

        i got mine from walmart for like 6 dollars
        Starting Weight: 175.2
        Current Weight: 170.6

            Chick in your local pharmacy in the area where they keep glucose monitors and other test strips. You may have to ask where they are. Ketostixs are a trademarked item and cost more than if you ask for generic ketone (or lypolysis) test trips.

              You know you don't need Ketostix to follow Atkins, right?

              And keep in mind that you could be in ketosis without changing the color of the stix... and just because you change the color, it does not mean you are following Atkins correctly or that you will see weight loss.

                I always got the best deals on ebay... but now they dont' work for me anyway.. (I'm blaming it on my thyroid medicine)

                        I agree. Think of all the people losing weight on Atkins who never ever used them at all!

                        They are a waste of money, but they can be entertaining if you really want to confuse and worry yourself using the strips every day. Using the sticks daily is just as bad as daily/hourly weigh ins.

                            Good for you! I have seen people complaining about weight gain after weighing multiple times in one day!...like you said....a ticket to CRAZY TOWN. Less time on the scale, more time to make some great food!

                              Thanks for your comments.

                              One more tip from me ... the sticks are a standard diabetic supply. Ask the pharmacist where they are ... sometimes they're behind the counter.
