  • Bye-bye!

    I probably won't be back on until I get back from my cruise next week.

    Stay the course (as I am about to embark into 4 days of alcohol). Really, I am saying that to myself.

    I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. I have fought temptation before and I can do it again.

            Have a great time - and get lots of exercise in walking around the decks to counteract that booze !!

              Be very careful with the alcohol. I am sure you heard it/ read it here. I knew that it would affect me differently, but I took that to mean that a glass of wine or beer would go to my head quicker. That is true, but the real problem came the next day. After just a couple (three...) drinks, I was so sick. A hangover like never before. I couldn't hold anything down for 24 hours. Just be careful. I would hate to see you lose a day of fun over it.

              what the rungs mean to me:
              rung 1 - more veggies
              rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
              rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
              rung 4 - berries, melon
              rung 5 - wine -
              rung 6 - beans, hummus
              rung 7 - other fruits
              rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
              rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
              Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
              (on to pre-maintenance)

                      Hope you have a great time and yes be careful of the alcohol since you don't know how your body will react to it now. Being hungover on a cruise would be no fun. Still have almost 3 months until mine. But I have a vacation between now and then too so I'll survive.

                        Jax you're gonna have great time! Enjoy! And there is SO MUCH food on the cruise, you'll be able to eat a lot w/out going off plan
