Need help to add some fat to the diet!

    just remember it takes very little fat to alter the ratio
    if for the sake oif the math you were using your ratios 1000s cals a day
    340 cals fat
    630 cals of protein
    and 30 cals of carbs

    adding 2T olive oil is 22o cals and now you are
    560 cals of fat
    410 cals of protein (whenyou add more fat you will eat less of your other
    foods as your hunger will be satisfied sooner )
    and still 30 cals of carbs

    now you are 56% fats and 41% protein *** one one Tablespoon of oil or butter and you are perfect only 3 T fixed you right up. So don't go wild adding fats to your same total of foods. Adjust your protein downward a few bites each meal and your fats up about 2t each meal and you will be just right.

      Thanks Size,

      Damn I was 132 lbs on Sunday night and I am deep in ketosis (sticks deep purple) just went to gym and my muscle content has gone down 0.8kg and my weight is now 135lbs? WTF? This is confusing

        how did you measure that change?

        Are you checking at the same time each day? the bio impedance instraments use fluid and you have to be fully hydrated to get a correct reading as everybody ewho owns one of those body fat sclaes can tell you theirs changes drasticaly from AM to PM based solely on hydration at the time of the reading.

          Same time as I always do - Its wierd I am deep in ketosis but my weight has gone up since last week. I am fully hydrated but it appears my muscle mass is declining - Could it be because I am eating no carbs when I do cardio the body is eating away at the muscle?

            and why are you eating no carbs? we need carbs well glucose for the cells that don't have mitochondrias like red blood cells certain areas of our retnia and brain. Dr Atkins never said no carbs he said low carbs.

            Your protein intake from your Atkins should be enough to supply and protein as fuel needs your muscles need.

            Why are you still in induction? are you cutting for a competion or something?

              Well when I say no carbs I mean less than 20g a day - I have been properly in ketosis for a week and a day now so I took that as the real start of the induction diet.

              hehe I wish my body was that good so I could be in competition - I am nowhere near that yet, maybe in 10 years

              At the moment my body fat is 17.7% but I am still trying to get rid of my tummy
