I've found that in the beginning I'm force feeding the veggies because you're supposed to have them, especially since I can't stand salad. So I usually hit around 20.

But I admit, once I get into heavy Ketosis my appetite is so gone I have to remind myself to eat anything, let alone veggies.

bnzstar-- I'm with you. It's sometimes easy to forget the veggies, and sometimes hard to eat them. I find that it does stimulate my apetite a little bit to eat them, so I try to use them strategically to make me a little more hungry so that I can get in my full caloric intake for the day. I don't want my body to get so used to living on 600 calories per day that when I eat 1200 one day I puff out like the Michelin Tire man. *LOL*

I too tend to be around the 17 Carb count. And now after 3 months I love my vegies, and am careful not to indulge. Funny, never thought eating vegies would be indulging ensive

prior to this WOE, I was not a veggie person either. I really only ate an occasional salad and maybe some green beans. But after I started, I knew that I had to learn to eat more veggies cause that was the only way to do the plan effectively and keep the weight off for good. I just knew that it couldn't be healthy to keep eating moslty proteins and some fats.. So, I am here to testify that even veggie haters can learn to like some veggies.. Just through experimenting I have learned to love salads, celery, brocoli and cauliflower stirfry, squash, okra, carrots and jicaima to name a few. I think to not eat veggies for a short time may not be that big of a deal, but if we plan on making this eating a way of life, we need the nutrition of our veggies :nod

In my opinion, as long as you are under the 20 carbs, it is not necessary to eat up to 20 carbs.. as long as you are eating what you are supposed to, including the veggies..
