  • Feeling better found out what's wrong

    I just wanted to let you all know I am feeling better. I also got a call from my doc and I have to get the B12 injections for life I have something called Pernicius Anemia and I have Hashimoto thyroiditis. SO this is why I feel so bad. I got my first injection of a series over the next few weeks and already today I was feeling better. Thank God. I just thought I would let you all know. My doc was giving me B12 injections 1 time per month and said it was good cause if he hand't been I guess I would be really sick. This also explains my lack of immunity so I am hopefully on the mend now but, I am supposed to take it easier until my immune system is back up. I am going to be exercising 3-4 days per week instead of 6-7 until I am done my first 2 weeks of injections. Thank all for caring and being my support I appreciate you encouragement and care for my wellbeing.

      I'm glad that they finally figured out what this issue is! Glad your able to get better now

            Yes, exactly I know that I need to let my body regain its energy right now but, hopefully by the end on next week I will be back to my old self again and be able to exercise without the constant fatigue and muscle pain.

                Sweetie I am glad to know you found out what it is and are getting treated. And you are STILL LOSING LIKE CRAZY despite the Hashi's.

                  when he was checking you out did he want to to increase your iron too? or is he just going to wait for the B12 to stabilize and then check you over?

                    Nope it was something I guess I have had for a while and he said it can take up to 2 or more years to develop the B12 deficiencey. Atkins actually masked it because I am eating so many B12 rich foods and so I felt better longer then say someone who was eating a lot of crap with no B12 in it. My doctor commends me for being on Atkins and had mentioned about the Iron but we are going to wait. My iron levels seem fine at the moment probably because of all the meats I eat and vegitables. He said that I will probably be having blood tests every 2 weeks until my levels are normal then go from there. Right now my thyroid levels are normal so that's good to know. I have no swelling except for what you had said before about my glads. They were overcompensating for my deficiencey and doing a good job of it I guess but my whole throat was swelled from my lymph glands so that was what was cusing my throat to be so tight and such.

                    I am glad to be on the mend and know that this is a tiney bump and I will feel better soon. Afetr all this I am really looking forward to feeling a lot better.

                      And just tink how much more lean body tissue you will be adding with your BFL as you get weel and think how big the whoosh will be form all that fluid in those swollen glands

                        Went for my shots today so I am kinda sore EWW I hate needles but, if it helps I am happy about it all. The doc was saying today that in a month or so I could probably just give myself the shots so I don't have to worry about if I have a vehicle or not . I don't know about giving myself needles well, it's only once per month so I guess it won't be so bad but just the thought. I am sure I will get used to it and also the nice thing is the treatment is actually really cheap I pay hardly anything for the shots so it not gunna kill my pocket book.

                        Take care I can't wait to be back to myself so that I can lose some more weight. I am swollen right now but, guess it's cause of everything. I have not cheated though so all is well.

                        I am going to try and do a little bit of exercise my muscles are still very weak but I thik this will help so I am off to my home gym to see how I do.

                          It's so important to know what is wrong when you feel bad, knowing what the deal is is half the job !!! (and believe you me, I know what it feels like to NOT know)
                          I am really happy for you that you can start working on feeling good again, it must be great to know there is a way out of the fatigue and musleaches !!!!

                            I give myself an allergy shot every week. It is easy to do, so I know you can give yourself a monthly shot. Us, Atkineers!!!, are able to do whatever it takes to succeed eating our low carb way.

                              thank you so much all for the support I am starting to feel more like me which is awesome but it's slower then I would like but, I will take it I have to look at the big picture. It is all worth it and I am so happy to know why I was so sick and feeling so bad. Now hoopefully I'll be back to weight lifting I thing I will start out lighter and go from there so as not to get too waisted. Doc told me to take it easy but, with 3 kids YA RIGHT. Body for Life is on hold right now. I am still going to be lifting but heavy I just can't seem to do right now so I will be doing lighter and at least I will still be exercising.
