Sure does, if you do it incorrectly.

This diet as opposed to low cal emphasizes getting your percentages correct (65F/30P/5C) with those percentages your body should be receiving enough amino acids to rebuild any muscles due to exercises. Why would the muscle break down muscle for ATP energy when you are eating a much easier fuel to break down, fat? Fat is much easier to break down for energy than protein.

DO I LOOK LIKE I'VE LOST MUSCLE?

4 years on Atkins and there is NO OTHER lifestyle for me.

READ THE BOOK (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution)

What you have heard are most outsiders' incorrection assumptions based on the the first 2 WEEKS of Atkins which is the most strict.

Gosh I can't believe there are people out there who listen to myths and believe them :no

Read the book and then make up your own mind.

I believed in all those myths as well, until I read the book, and 3 1/2 months later, 41 pounds lighter, feeling better than I have for ages, I would definately recommend this woe to anyone, and everyone!!! Remember though to read the book, and judge for yourself. Good Luck
