  • what ONE body part made you think...

    if there's ONE body part that smacked you into the reality that "I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT"

    what was it?

    for me it was my neck..... seriously.. my double chin..... I'd always had a slim neck... until one day I realized I didn't even look like me anymore...

    the fat belly I hid under lose clothes, jumpers, etc....

    but one day... it hit me so hard I cried... it was my neck.....

    what was it for you?¿¿¿¿
    2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!
    2-20-10 190.4 - new scale
    3-20-10 177.8 - 1 month
    5-10-10 169.8 - 25 pounds gone!

      Well, for me, it was plain obvious when looking at all body parts, ha! However, what kicked me into high gear was when I saw that I was developing a "diabetic hump", which is a hump that develops in some people just below the nape of the neck. I thought to myself that I could continue down the path of obesity and all the diseases that go with it, or I could dump the weight for good.

      No Weigh Until Christmas Day!!!

        I tend to carry my weight evenly over by body so I do not think it was one, but rather I saw myself in pictures one day and couldn't even believe it was me.

          I've always been small-busted and carried most of my weight on my hips and thighs. I was beginning to notice a big roll of fat on my back right below my bra. Yuck! Also, when I looked in the mirror, I just looked matronly and I hated that!

                I guess I gain all over pretty much... I have no waist anyway... it's just straight...

                but that double chin thing got me thinking..

                  I've always had a bit of a belly - but I didn't really kick into gear until I noticed how chubby my cheeks had gotten.
                  F 24 5'10 SW - 217 GW 170 restarted atkins 1/14/08 - This time I'm sticking with it!

                      Face and double chin too. Although the belly needed to shrivel too!

                        Although I also didnt like the roll of fat the back of my head / neck which I could see everytime I had my haircut.
