oh.. and I forgot this... this happened 2 days after I began Atkins.... but I was so disillusioned with the food at the time I was about ready to chuck it all... then this strengthened my resolve..

My Daddy.. 73 (but looks 60), has a chocolate lab... Marlie.. she's way too fat... so fat that she's going to have serious problems soon...Chloe isn't fat (she's the black lab)

I told him he needed to stop feeding her so much she's fat.... now he loves these dogs probably more than he does me...

he GLARED at me and said 'she isn't the only one that's fat'

I got on my 4 wheeler and cried all the way home..

For me it was my upper torso...I never really had a belly, but my arms and chest were really getting bad. I wouldn't even wear a regular T-shirt without a big baggy shirt over it anymore.

I used to be the cookie monster, except I am not blue, Im pink.
Anyway, besides looking like the cookie monster, I felt like him. I was constantly thinking about food and it was the only thing that mattered to me.
I always used to think I could hold my weight 'well' in other words, proportionately... and I never thought I looked too bad. But denial aint just a river in egypt.
That and being tired of shopping in the BIG MAN section of stores and never finding clothes that fit me well, because those clothes are made for Paul Bunyan, in other words the skinny people clothes just get proportionately bigger everywhere and dont compensate for being 'portly'.

All over really. I can't look at a single body part and think "Hey, that looks good." Even now I can't. But the deciding factor is when I went in for gallbladder surgery and couldn't remove my rings. Not with soap and water. Nothing. They had to put tape over my rings. Just the simple act of being able to take rings off and put them on and I couldn't do it. There were other things as well but that was the big eye opener for me, the one I couldn't brush off or make an excuse for.

                          wow.....just 1???

Well for me it was my stomach. I couldn't get into my jean anymore. I was an absolute downer to be around because I was so miserable with myself. It seems that all the weight that I have ever gained over my life went right to my stomach. I do also have the back fat, and trust me, I don't care much for that either...but I get so sick of being at work and many of my patients asking me....."WHEN IS YOUR BABY DUE"??? ARGG...I always just tell them "OH ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO". Then most of them feel bad, as the should.
