  • Leg cramps

My friend is having problems with leg cramps. She has only been on Atkins for 2 days. I told her to take the vitamins. Is there anything else that will help?

    Thanks,
    Michele

    maybe just drinking more water.....

cramps are usually from dehydration aren't they? (and the electrolyte embalance it causes)

      Are you getting enough potassium?

Potassium supplements will help. And use Morton Lite Salt which is made from potassium chloride but tastes the same as regular salt with 1/3 less sodium.

I had leg cramps also, I started adding broccolli to my salads (potassium) and take those vitamins. Don't forget the water! :nod

Thank you everyone. I took her yesterday to buy supplements. I also encouraged her to stop drinking the Diet Coke and drink water. She didn't have any cramps last night. I really need her to do this WOE with me since we spend alot of time together. It just helps to have support all around.
