Well, I experienced some diarreah during my first few days on induction as well. But I can tell you that for most of us gastric distress will go away on this WOE. Before I started Atkins I was constantly bloated or crampy or just plain ill in terms of my stomach. Now most days I sorts forget my stomach exists. Induction flu is the worst but once you get past it you will feel 110% better. :hug

Usually that is caused by yeast die off the body is trying so hard to get the yeast to die off. When this happens usually the yeast begins to formet in a way and you get horrendous gas and cramps and diarreah. This will pass as your body releases all it's sugar and you begin to kill the horrible yeas=ty guy. It should settle down in about a week. Take care of yourself and drink a lot of water to flush all the stuff and waste from your body.

Just want to ask if you are eating anything with sugar alcohols, as they can bring on wicked gas and trots in some people.

I've been on Atkins for over a year, and I'm so nervous about what they may or may not do to me that I just won't eat them.
I'll look at them in the grocery store...especially the ice creams, because I'm past the dairy rung, but oh geez, I've heard some horror stories!

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I'll never forget what the 4:H guy told kids about to go to state competition..

"even the Queen of England passes gas... but not in public"

little boys think it's funny.... and some never outgrow it.. :yikes
